They don't. This stuff is so stupid.
UCF vs Auburn was UCF's Super Bowl and was Auburn's toilet bowl. Auburn one game away from being in the playoff and they have to settle for this?
Wasn't UCF most impressive win all year double overtime against Memphis?
With all these bowls, some teams play as if it is their last football game ever and in UCF case, it likely is and to other teams it is an inconvenience.
If you want to have that argument, these teams like UCF and like Boise State of old would know a few years ahead "hey we may have an all time great team that year in 2017" so you need to schedule at least someone that will be in the top 20 of a power conference. Boise St played in DC against Virginia Tech and won.
Cornell did that a few years ago in college basketball along with other teams like Gonzaga. Cornell knew a few years back it was going to have an all time great Cornell team and scheduled Kansas at Kansas.
Auburn beat Bama, UCF beat Auburn. think they would have a small shot
agree with Hache, think they can hold their own
This is the one thing that you can't go by,and what i mean is,who beat who,and then they beat them, every week and every game is different,Alabama/Auburn is a heated game(iron bowl)and you never know who will win,and Bama came in that game limping, but no excuses. Now just cause C.Fla. beat Auburn and Auburn beat Alabama don't mean that C.Fla would beat Alabama. It just don't work that way or we would all be winners at the sportsbook.Different teams play the same team in different ways,Alaabama may prepare for C.Fla. in a different manner than Auburn did, they may have seen areas that could be vunerable that other teams didn't,..but just because they beat one decent team in Auburn, don't expect them to beat or hold their own with another good team
It’s about matchups and motivation. They certainly have a shot, but you know that the transitive property doesn’t work in football. I’d give them a 20-25% shot against UGA and 15% against Bamathey beat the team that ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED the two teams playing for the championship
Hence there's only one reasonable assumption, they might be good enough to beat AL and GA, we'll never know
To suggest they have no chance is kinda silly
